Join us in prayer for our Crossroads Medical Brigade April 5-12, 2025!
Did you know that Quito, Ecuador is a world leading producer and exporter of roses?
Your Crossroads Community Church is sending a group of 23 to partner with the Norte Church in Quito, Ecuador to run a medical clinic that will be serving all ages of the poor and underserved in their community. We are estimating seeing 1200 patients over this week. Quito is a beautiful city that sits at 9350 feet in the mountains of Ecuador. Their people are diverse, hard working, and loving. We are so privileged to be able to partner with a church that will help host us in their homes and also be working alongside us as translators, providing meals, and managing the clinic. We even have three Ecuadorian doctors who will be seeing patients alongside us. Our American team consists of members who will be serving as our: doctors, nurses, physical therapy, dental, and pharmacy. We also have team members that will be serving with kids activities, our reading glasses clinic, and everything that supplements our work for the week. So far, our team has been busy raising funds individually that help with all of our supplies, flights, meals, and care for our Ecuadorian partners. The women's group at Crossroads has donated reading glasses and small stuffed animals. One of our team members was able to get 1200 dental hygiene packets donated! Another team member has collected canes and walkers! It has been so encouraging to see the response from our team and community. Behind the scenes, we have been ordering all the supplies, the bags to hold all the supplies, all the over the counter medicines and prescription medicines. We have had a few hitches but so far, but God has been faithful and everything seems to be falling in line to be ready for our launch date of April 5.
Items for Prayer:
1) that all medicines will be obtained and delivered in time for packing
2) that all official government forms and documents we need to send to Quito will be processed smoothly
3) for the health and safety of our team pre trip so no one has to be left behind
4) that team members will be matched with the perfect host family. This could be the start of new long term relationships!
5) That word will get out to those in the Norte Church community about our brigade. It would be amazing to run out of all medicines because we are able to serve over and above what we are planning for!
