April 7th, Day 1 for our medical:
Today, we realized something that has been prayed for over many years, our first day of seeing patients! It was all hands on deck counting medicines and preparing all our areas for patients. Everyone did such an amazing job! We saw 153 patients for the day. I wanted to share just one story for the day: we had a special needs teen come through with his mom. After being seen by the doctor, he was able to be seen by Vanessa with physical therapy where he left with a walker. On the way out, our teammate Kristen spoke with the mom who let Kristen know that she was so grateful for the walker. Her son can be unstable walking so she always feels she needs to be beside him. So having something like a walker was going to literally change her life.
It seems like so little. But the impact can be so great! How precious to be able to be God’s hands and feet to His children.
Love and Blessings from your team in Quito
